This policy applies to all purchases made on calibrebooks.com.

Digital Goods and Your Right to Cancel

The products sold on Calibre Books are digital downloads (ebooks in EPUB and PDF format). Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the standard 14-day right to cancel does not apply to digital content once the download has begun, provided you have given your express consent and acknowledged that you will lose your right to cancel.

By completing your purchase and downloading your ebook, you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you waive your statutory right to cancel.

When We Will Issue a Refund

We will issue a full refund in the following circumstances:

• The file is corrupt, damaged, or will not open in standard ebook readers (such as Kindle, Apple Books, Adobe Digital Editions, or Calibre).
• You received the wrong book (the file delivered does not match the title you purchased).
• The download link did not work and we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable time.
• Duplicate purchase of the same title made in error within 24 hours.
• The book is significantly different from its description on the product page in a way that would have affected your decision to purchase.

When We Cannot Issue a Refund

In line with industry standards for digital goods, we are unable to refund purchases in the following circumstances:

• You have changed your mind after downloading the file.
• You did not enjoy the content, writing style, or subject matter (we encourage you to read the product description and any available preview before purchasing).
• You purchased the wrong title by mistake but the file has already been downloaded.
• You are unable to read the file because of an unsupported device or third-party software issue not caused by the file itself.
• The request is made more than 30 days after the purchase date.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of your purchase. Please include:

1. The order number from your purchase confirmation email.
2. The email address used at checkout.
3. A clear description of the issue (and, if relevant, a screenshot of any error message).

We aim to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.

Chargebacks

If you believe a refund is owed, please contact us first. Initiating a chargeback through your bank without giving us an opportunity to resolve the issue may result in your account being blocked from future purchases.
